Sunrise of Sunset- which do you prefer?

Sunset is such an amazing event. There are orange streaked clouds over a solid blue background sky. The sun gets stronger on the horizon rather than during the day so it feels hotter on the couch at 7pm than 2pm. The tops of trees look more colorful.

There is a mountain in Sedona Arizona where people camp out just to watch the sunset every night. There are  hundreds of cars lined up along the winding road leading to the top of the mountain. If I remember it’s the same road back down so every car has to go to the top to get back down.

All this for a sunset!

Because it’s on a mountain, you can look down in the valley below and see darkness. Store lights turn on and bright traffic lights light up the town below while you stand in the brightness of the sunset.

The train station in Providence had a shiny outside. When the sun hits it on the horizon, the station is like a star. At sunset, the shiny outside is almost blinding.

I’ve heard of people watching the sunrise on the beach. They will sit on the sand on a blanket. The morning ocean is pretty. Bits of sunlight reflect off the water. The ocean goes on forever. Maybe like the possibilities of the on-coming day.

The sky doesn’t have those wild colors.

The sunrise isn’t as shocking in areas too. I’ve pulled all nighters where it gets lighter and lighter out until you realize it’s day.

It’s apparent that I prefer a pretty sunset over a sunrise. I used to be a nightowl so the dark never bothered me. To see the sun go down on the trees or in the distance felt relaxing. I made it through a day. The fun or mystery or inside time of the night is here.
