Writing Excuses and having no excuse

Writing Excuses opens by saying that the shows are 20 minutes because you are busy and “we’re not that smart.” What a relatable and funny opening. I started listening to Mary Robinette and Brandon Sanderson. Dan Wells kept the others on topic. They have new hosts and new topics. Don Wong Son has working many fields of publishing so he has a lot to say. Mary and Dan are still there. Erin and Robert keep the topics coming.

They devote entire episodes to craft. This is a panel of authors with several books among them so they know of what they speak. They really cram in the information in that 20 minutes but it’s not rushed or too much.

The opening is true. I listen when I’m in a hurry and it fits the need.
