The Blessing of a Small Town

Mix had two parents that cared about him and he lived in a safe place. One of the themes of the series is that buildings closed down and economics were not what they could be. There were drugs, but he had to know where to go. He was secure enough that he could go, out with friends and be safe, unless he did something like crawl into a sewer or search brown fields. He had his obsessions and lived his way.

Mix may not have realized it, but he had an environment that many all over the world would crave. He was able to live and be healthy. I’m not saying he didn’t have conflicts and struggles, but it wasn’t hopeless.
