What would Orville’s mother buy even if it costs too much?

In Mix Tapes and Stuff, we meet Orville, the teen who wants to buy his way to popularity. How did he get this attitude? Could it be his parents? Let’s ask his mother in 1987 about shopping.

There isn’t anything I wouldn’t buy regardless of price. QVC has discounts but when it comes to cubic zirconia, who needs a discount? I buy rings and bracelets. Some discounted, others not. I like a deal, not everything is full price. They had a special at Home Shopping Club for candle holders. I bought them even though we don’t have candles. 

There was a special on these gold ducks that I grabbed right away. They are safely stocked away in the closet.

I would buy furniture at Fortunoffs at full price. I buy plates from the top floor of Macy’s. A lot of people don’t go there, but I will. 

I got the money in the divorce and I can spend it wherever.
