Is Joe Jackson Right and Wrong?
Joe Jackson was a British musician that had some early success in the 1980s. The great album, Night and Daybrought him mainstream attention. The video for the song "Steppin Out" was a Mtv hit.
Jackson had hits before Night and Day like "Is She Really Going Out With Him?" and "Look Sharp" Never one to sit around and wait, he decided to record his next album live. The audience was cut out of the final mix and you got a pretty well recorded album that sounds like a studio album. This album would be called Big World.

The singer contemplates what is going on in the world, but here's the thing, he's not brilliant. He doesn't want to get tripped up with word games like people who say "cardiology" when they talk about issues. Why would they use that word? The narrator doesn't say, he just knows it's complicated word. The narrator equates baseball standings with world politics. Media.
People talking without knowing what they're saying, sounds familiar.
